First week into the season and I was beginning to worry my birds had been boogered out by the weekend warriors… that was until the sun broke from the west and I started spitting sweet nothings to the quiet birds off the roost! I actually had 4 beards come up the hill with hens before I pulled off a one knee banger dropping this butterball! Didn’t even get a look at the others to see how big they were before I decided my tag fit this one well. With rain all night, bright skies in the a.m. and a little bit of luck – I look to take another piece of mother nature to the freezer tomorrow. Then my friend will I call for those less fortunate. Happy hunting – GOBBLE GOBBLE – BANG!
